There’s a word that is the bane of many a multipotentialite’s existence — particularly when trying to start a business. That word is “niche.”
When you’re interested in so many different things, the idea of narrowing in on one of them can feel frustrating, limiting, and just plain impossible.
My journey into the world of online business began back in 2010, when I signed up for the Internet Business Mastery Academy. I learned everything I needed to know in the academy: how to create digital products, what email marketing service to sign up for, how to write a blog post, how to grow a community… It was comprehensive and the information was gold. I still use what I learned every day in my business.
But there was one lesson that I struggled with. The module where we had to choose a niche. Always the rebel, I decided to make “not choosing” my niche, and continued along to the next lesson.
Fast forward five years…
I learned that Jason and Jeremy, the creators of IBMA had come out with a new course specifically for “those who have trouble narrowing in on their niche” (i.e. multipotentialites). Considering how fantastic their other training was, I was dying to learn more.
Jason Van Orden was kind enough to jump on a Skype call with me and give me a little preview of their approach. I think you’ll find it really fascinating.

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful tool of your overarching theme kit. I wanted to start a blog but didn’t know what to write about and what to do. I read a lot of articles and the minute they start talking about finding your niche I felt the same old helplessness and hopelessness that us multipotentialites experience, because I do not have only one passion or one interest. So, thanks to your ‘kit’ I managed to start find my overarching theme and started my blog at http://www.allzafoot.com and although I’m not quite sure which direction it will eventually take, I at least managed to make a start. Thank you so much.

In the context of multipotentialites… I’m wondering if you’ve identified you’re Myers Briggs type. I’m a total multipotentialite and I think we’d see a trend among the group if we looked at those who self identify as multipods. It could be a fun social psychology experiment. Your introspection and ability to self identify and recognize the patter of behavior is an inherent function of your unique wiring. Carl Jung may really interest you. We are similarly wired by category though uniquely individual and can be grouped as such… into 16 categories. I really see the value in our differences that cumulatively make a greater whole… but then we start getting spiritual. Keep up the great work thanks for being brave and being you and sharing.. if we all had the courage to just accept and embrace our differences our world be an amazing place. For fun I’ll speculate you may be an INFJ. Cheers

Shame I missed out on this. Sounds fab. The Tarot section sounds particularly relevant to me (I am a Tarot Reader, amongst other things). Is there any way of accessing this part of the offer now? Ali x
