Everything you want to know about the Puttyverse, answered.
We offer three membership options:
Every plan gives you full access to our forums, groups, workshop library, huddles, live events, and the full warmth of the community.
We do offer scholarships on a limited basis. The decision is based on a combination of financial need, merit, and exemplifying the spirit of the Puttyverse — being generous, collaborative, and curious.

Right now! For 14 years, the Puttyverse operated on a monthly "open doors" model — we'd open enrollment for a few days each month and then close it again. But when we moved to Circle in April 2026, we were finally able to open the doors permanently. You can join any time you're ready, no waiting required.
The Puttyverse exists to create more freedom in your life, not less. No contracts, no being kept against your will. You can cancel your membership at any time, and you can switch between billing plans whenever you want.
Yes! Put us to the test with no downside and no risk. Just ask within seven days of joining and we'll refund 100% of your money if our community isn't the right fit for any reason. Zero hassles, no guilt trip.
We process payments through Stripe, which accepts credit, debit, or pre-paid cards from VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and Maestro.
We have members in 22 time zones, 60+ countries, 200+ cities and towns, and on every continent except Antarctica. We also have active members from every generation between Generation Z and the Baby Boomers.
Definitely not. We've seen and encourage people to chat away in Spanish, French, and other languages. You can express yourself and your values however you like, as long as you do it in the spirit of kindness, generosity, and weirdness (we're a quirky bunch).
Almost certainly. Our members are into anything and everything and come from all walks of life. You're almost certain to find somebody who's interested in whatever weird (or not so weird) thing you're excited about.
We've got artists, entrepreneurs, engineers, teachers, writers, makers, parents, students, coaches, retirees, photographers, philosophers, carpenters, coders and so much more. And of course, everyone in the community is more than just one thing.
Absolutely not. The Puttyverse isn't specifically about helping you build a career. It's about helping you build a life around your many passions. Career is just one piece of the puzzle. Whether you're in a traditional job, starting a business, or just trying to figure things out, there's a place for you here.
It doesn't matter whether you're just beginning your multipotentialite journey or you've been at it for a while. The Puttyverse is for everyone. We have students, working professionals, and retired folks of all ages and backgrounds. There's a home for you here.
What makes the Puttyverse great is us — who we are and how we connect with one another. We have a full set of Community Guidelines that everyone agrees to follow, but the short version is: be kind, speak from your own experience, criticize ideas not people, and always try to improve the conversation.
If you have a conflict or misunderstanding with another member, we encourage direct resolution where possible. If you need support, you can always reach out to us at team@theputtyverse.com.
As much or as little as you want. Some puttypeep are active every day while most prefer a more casual experience.
Nothing is required in our community. So invest whatever time you see fit.
We get a ton of praise and thank yous from our puttypeep. Watch and read for yourself right here.
Your username, display name, and profile picture (which is optional) can be anything you want. You can share as much or as little about yourself as you like. If you ever leave and would like your content or information removed, just email us at team@theputtyverse.com and we'll take care of it.
We charge a subscription so we can all avoid the worst that social media has to offer. There are no advertisements, no selling your data to third parties, and no attempts to hijack your attention at all costs.
As one of our members put it: "I came to the Puttyverse mainly to get off of social media, where I'm a product being sold to marketers vying for my attention. I gladly pay for my Puttyverse membership specifically to avoid commercialized interests."
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever. We work with a small number of trusted service providers (like Circle, Stripe, and AWeber) who help us run the community, and data shared with them is limited to what's necessary. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes. You can read our full Privacy Policy for details.
We decided to remove "tribe" from our name out of respect for Indigenous people and traditions. Our online community is not a tribe, although Puttytribe is how we referred to ourselves for the first eight years.
Use of the word tribe, throughout history and into the present day, has (both purposefully and accidentally) hurt Indigenous people. And now that we know better, we're trying to do better.
Puttyverse is also just more representative of our puttypeep. It's more expansive, nerdier, and fun! You'll totally get it once you're part of this constellation of multipotentialites.
The Puttyverse runs on Circle, which works in any modern browser on desktop or mobile. You can also download the Circle app on iOS or Android — it effectively turns the Puttyverse into a native app experience with notifications, dark mode (toggle it yourself!), and much better accessibility overall.
For live video events, we use Zoom and Circle's built-in live rooms. We moved to Circle in April 2026 and it's been a big upgrade across the board.
Yes! Emilie is active in the Puttyverse — participating in events, engaging in discussions, and showing up for the community. That said, the Puttyverse is intentionally designed to be a place where puttypeep support and learn from one another, not just from Emilie. The collective wisdom of the community is one of its greatest strengths, and you'll find plenty of that to go around.
Not if you use it correctly. The Puttyverse is meant to support your many projects, not be a distraction from them. When you'd like feedback or you're dealing with a challenge, share it with the community. The 'verse only becomes a distraction when you don't use it to further the things that really matter to you.
The Puttyverse's revenue goes toward the technical and administrative costs of running the community — platform fees, event tools, and everything that keeps things humming along smoothly.
There's no advertising on our site and, unlike other "free" online communities, we don't sell your data. The Puttyverse has been going strong since 2012 and the vast majority of our puttypeep feel that their membership dues are well worth it.
Please email us and we'll get you sorted out as quickly as possible.
